Supervision is a form of counselling that illuminates and reflects a system of professional interaction from various perspectives. Distributed over a medium-term time span, supervision suits:

  • individuals (and is then known as coaching) teams
  • for groups made up of individuals not working in a team (see also “Cooperative coaching”)
  • for-profit and non-profit organizations alike
  • and is especially useful when shaping transition situationsin a professional context

The underlying goal of supervision is to better understand the interdependence existing between individuals, their professional role, the organization they work in, and its clients. Once all these perspectives have been illuminated it is possible to restructure working relationships and to solve structurally conditioned problems.


My task as your supervisor is to create a trustful working climate and to use my professional competence in order to support your problem-solving process.

Supervision strengthens your “soft skills” and the quality of your work.

The so-called soft skills, for instance flexibility, willingness to progress, ability to communicate, play an increasingly important role in working life. Taking its cue from these changing requirements, the supervisory process encourages participants to work on such skills on the basis of a specific issue. As a result, supervision has become an established quality standard which is being put in place by more and more companies and organizations.
